I want to further my career, I need to get better at everything. This includes but is not limited to learning new courses, but also getting proper certificates. I have to be better.
I already professionally do this, however I want to be able to prove this easily to future employers if necessary, I feel that an RHCSA certification may be valuable in this.
However I will need more experience in what I already do.
Overview
Main topics I need to get better at, things I do not fully understand:
- Actually using
manand manpages. - RHEL-based security like
SELinux. LVMmanagement, troubleshooting and repair.DNF& other RHEL package managers, debugging and full troubleshooting.- Properly drill in making secondary filesystem-based backups of config files before changing it.
Approach
It may be easiest for me to practice these things by having a LLM specifically try to break a fresh installation, following each of these things, and then requiring me to fix it. I have no clue how I am going to do this though, and I want to see if I can fix and troubleshoot these things from scratch as if it was the actual exam and without any network access. I feel that if I try the exam first but at home and simulated by a mess created by an LLM that I will be able to catch myself getting better “AHA!” moments when I actually study it afterwards.
