Busselton

Squid and Ink

Weekend Trip Canon Powershot SX540 HS

We went to Busselton for a nice trip over the long weekend.

Some of the notable things I noticed there was the well-known busselton jetty:

The wind was quite rough, but the weather was quite nice.

Along the jetty, we noticed that there were some remnants of a previous jetty that was destroyed a while ago due to environmental causes. These now-unused sections of the jetty were home to napping birds.

On the jetty runs a little train / cart, but it was marginally slower than an adult walking, so if you want to use it, it only really acts as a lazy man’s way to get to the other side. On the jetty too, many people were fishing specifically for squid, you could see the stains of ink on the jetty

Torwards the end of the jetty, they had a sign pointing to different cities of the world with their relative distances, here also a kingfisher came to greet us.
